Talking Back Consequences!

Well we have had a whirl wind of a week and it's only Wednesday! Sophia is about to be 3yrs old on Feb 2nd and we've had so much talking back it's frustrating.

We have house rules that we ALL must follow and Sophia wasn't taking them seriously. We told her that the house was not happy with the way that she was talking back and not using nice words to talk to mommy and daddy so the house has taken away her toys until she learns to use her words.

While my husband/Mike was giving Sophia a bath I got to work and moved all of her toys out of her room and closet. I only left her bookshelf of books. Mike was telling Sophia a story in the bath (like normal) about a little girl who was not using her words and her house was not happy about it and put her toys away. You should have seen her face when she got out of the bath and found her room empty!

Her first question was how could the house take all of my toys and Mommy how do I get my stuff back? I said that the house has been listening to her talk to mommy and daddy and was not very happy, so he decided to put her toys away until she used better words to talk to mommy and daddy.

We shall see how this turns out. I'll keep you posted!
Signed a sad/disappointed Mommy and Daddy.

Birthday Gift Box

I found a super cute monthly birthday box on Inking Idaho's blog. Here is my version of the box.

I followed almost all of Becky's instructions. Here are the directions to make this Birthday Box:

1. I started with a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock cut to 8 1/2" x 9".
2. Score the long side at 3 3/4" and 5 1/4".
3. Score the short side at 1 1/2" and 7 1/2". Fold on the score lines shape into a box.
4. Before assembling, I cut the opening so you can see the contents. I measured in about a 1/2" on each side and down about 1" from the top. I used my paper cutter to cut out that little section. Assemble the box with Sticky Strip.

**I am working on the lid measurements. It was just a bit off, so I'm working out the kinks.**

Share a little somethin' special...

Here's my first post for our weekly posting. I hope you like it. I pulled some ideas from our very own Stampin' Success Jan 09 issue and from a fellow blogger named Carrie Gaskin from 3-D Design Challenge.

Enjoy!

My Darling Husband! He has slowly been asking questions about following blogs perhaps even posting. He's more of a financial guy so it will be interesting to see what types of blogs he will be following.

Georgia's Blanket

Sophia's friend from school Georgia is going to be going to a new school. We decided to make her a goodbye gift from all of her friends at school.

We hope that you have a wonderful time at your new school Georgia and make wonderful friends!

New Blog -- New Start

I decided to create a new blog for a new beginning! We had our Demo Mtg on Monday and we all realized that we are not doing such a good job keeping up with our blogs. So to make us accountable here's our solution:

We are going to post every Monday and comment on what we have accomplished.
